GETTING TO KNOW THE JUNGLE | 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS



  • DAY 1



    • Reception at the airport or hotel in Iquitos (9:00 am).
    • Transfer by land to Nauta, 1h 40min approx.
    • Brief tour of the city of Nauta, the oldest city in the Amazon region
    • Transfer by river to Eywa Lodge, with stop and visit to the source of the Amazon River.
    • Lunch
    • Walk through the jungle to observe the impressive flora and hang from lianas.
    • Sunset on the banks of the Yarapa and Ucayal rivers.
    • Dinner
    • Relaxation time in our facilities
    • Overnight
  • Day 2



    • Sighting of the sunrise (5:30am).
    • Observation of different species of exotic birds (toucans, macaws, jacanas, sparrow hawks,...)
    • Breakfast
    • Hike to look for medicinal plants to learn about their use and healing properties.
    • Walk into the jungle in search of sloths and different types of monkeys (owl, pygmy marmoset, saki monk, squirrel, howler, woolly monkey,...)
    • Lunch
    • Boat excursion and fishing for piranhas, permit and sardines (optional)
    • Observation of pink and grey dolphins (and swim with them if desired)
    • Dinner
    • Night excursion in search of giant lizards, tarantulas, giant frogs, nocturnal birds and listening to the sounds of the jungle.
    • Overnight
  • DAY 3



    • Breakfast
    • Visit to the local community to learn about their customs and culture.
    • Sample of handicraft making
    • Walk in the village and surroundings
    • Lunch
    • Transfer to Iquitos (hotel or airport)
